Yuki River meanders through the eastern portion of this wilderness landscape in the Alaska interior. The terrain is defined by significant elevation changes, with ridges rising steeply from the river valley and the drainage of Ketlkede Cr to the northwest. This 2019 survey by the U.S. Geological Survey shows a roadless and uninhabited expanse within the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, largely shaped by natural watercourses and topography rather than human development. The absence of roads or structures emphasizes the isolation of this region, where the primary geographic identifiers remain the natural hydrography and the Public Land Survey System boundaries, including t13s r11e and t14s r12e.
