1970 Map of Sayle

USGS Topo · Published 1974

About this map

The high plains of Powder River County are documented here as they appeared in 1970, showing the remote settlement of Sayle and a landscape deeply etched by the intermittent flows of Bloom Creek and Indian Creek. Much of the central and eastern portions of the sheet fall within the Custer National Forest, where the topography is defined by the prominent Diamond Butte and a network of drainages including Dutch Gulch and Flood Creek.
