Chugach National Forest dominates this Alaskan landscape, where the movement of massive ice sheets defines the terrain. The northern half of the sheet is marked by the high-elevation Ultramarine Glacier and Princeton Glacier, which feed the drainages leading toward the coast. To the south, the formidable Chenega Glacier descends toward the saltwater interface at Nassau Fiord, illustrating the active glaciology of the Prince William Sound region.
