The Stony River meanders across the northern portion of this remote Alaskan interior landscape, carving through a complex network of wetlands and small lakes. In the Bethel Census Area, this 2019 survey captures a landscape defined by its hydrography, where Basket Cr drains the southern wetlands. The grid of the Public Land Survey System, including t19n r40w and t18n r41w, provides the only human-imposed structure upon a terrain otherwise shaped by seasonal water and shifting channels. This map reflects a region where traditional land divisions meet a wild, water-saturated environment, offering a technical view of the drainage patterns and township boundaries that define modern land management in the Alaskan bush.
