1967 Map of Tell North

USGS Topo · Published 1981

About this map

Tell sits at the southern edge of this West Texas landscape, where the rolling plains of the Panhandle meet the rugged drainage systems of the Red River basin. Surveyed in the late 1960s and updated with aerial data in 1979, the map reveals a land defined by its hydrology and intermittent watercourses. The converging branches of North Baylor Creek and South Baylor Creek carve through the terrain to form the primary Baylor Creek channel, which feeds into the localized reservoir of Lake Baylor.
