Tigre Lagoon Oil and Gas Field and the South Tigre Lagoon Gas Field dominate the coastal wetlands of the Vermilion Parish and Iberia Parish border. This landscape is a complex network of natural bayous and industrial canals, where the massive Intracoastal Waterway cuts east-to-west across the marsh. To the north, Bayou Petite Anse and its tributaries, including Three Bayou and Bayou Cassmer, drain into the Tigre Lagoon.
