Tropic Reservoir and the headwaters of the E Fork Sevier River anchor this 2014 survey of the high plateau country along the boundary of Garfield and Kane Counties. The landscape is defined by the dramatic escarpments of the Sunset Cliffs to the northwest and the Pink Cliffs to the southeast, where the terrain drops away into the intricate drainage systems of Proctor Canyon and Bridge Canyon. This survey captures the intersection of two major protected areas, with the Dixie National Forest covering much of the Paunsaugunt Plateau and Bryce Canyon National Park occupying the eastern edge.
