Tsala Apopka Lake dominates the eastern half of this 1893 survey, appearing as a complex labyrinth of islands and open water before modern water management altered the basin. The settlement of Inverness is situated on the western edge of Henderson Lake, serving as a central hub where the South Florida R. R. meets the shoreline.
