The Wayne National Forest covers large sections of this Vinton County landscape, where the settlements of Zaleski, Creola, and Siverly are connected by a network of state and local roads. This survey identifies a high density of small cemeteries that serve the local rural communities, including Bethel Cem, Wesley Chapel Cem, and Creola Cem. The terrain is defined by several prominent ridges and deep hollows, such as Bethel Ridge and Mitchell Hollow, while Raccoon Cr and its tributaries like Brushy Fork provide the primary drainage. Near Zaleski, the presence of Saint Sylvester Cem and Oak Grove Cem indicates a long-standing community structure.
