The community of Cee Vee and the nearby Coleyville occupy the high plains of northwest Cottle County, where agricultural lands give way to the breaks of the Pease River valley. This 1966 field-checked survey reveals a landscape of working ranches and rural infrastructure, evidenced by numerous water features like Samson Windmill and Sick Pen Windmill. The southern portion of the map is dominated by the Matador Wildlife Management Area, where the terrain drops sharply into the drainages of Richland Creek and Bluff Creek.
