About this map

Colver stands as the industrial centerpiece of this Cambria County landscape, where the company-town layout is clearly visible through rows of residential housing known as Nine Row and Twenty Row. During the early 1960s, the extraction economy is evident in the numerous mine sites, tipple structures, and strip mines that follow the coal seams near Watkins and Bakerton. The topography is defined by the Blacklick Creek North Branch and Little Blacklick Creek, which carved the valleys that dictated the placement of rail junctions like Regan Junction and crossings such as Belsano Crossing.
