Transport corridors define the northern and southern sections of the quadrangle. In the north, the Penn Central railroad serves Ogden, De Long, and Fithian, while the southern half is bisected by the Norfolk And Western line through the heart of Homer. Outside the established towns, the rural landscape is dotted with smaller landmarks like the Radio Tower (WICD) and the Gaging Station on the river, alongside numerous unnamed family Cemeteries that provide vital clues for genealogical research.
