The Askinuk Mountains dominate this coastal survey, rising sharply between the waters of Scammon Bay and Kokechik Bay. At the westernmost edge of the range, Cape Romanzof stands as a prominent sentinel overlooking the Bering Sea, while the inland landscape is defined by the high peak of Towak Mtn and a network of drainages including the Ekashluak River and Lukkeah River.

Evidence of mid-century activity is concentrated near the coast, where a Radio Tower and Cabins are noted. The presence of a Mine tucked into the western slopes suggests early resource exploration in this remote maritime environment. Off the coast, the shifting nature of the shoreline is visible in the elongated Neragon Island, part of the larger Sand Islands chain that buffers the mainland from the open sea.
