About this map

The Muscatatuck River winds through the northern reaches of this landscape where the borders of Gibson and Vernon meet. This terrain is defined by a dense network of hollows carved into the uplands, including Rutherford Hollow, Bane Hollow, and Shantaky Hollow. These ridges and valleys are largely preserved within the Jackson-Washington State Forest and the Clark State Forest, which frame the central agricultural and residential corridor.
