Most prominent is the massive area of Under Construction surrounding the emerging Chatfield Lake and the Chatfield State Recreation Area. The purple revision tints from 1969 reveal the rapid expansion of housing tracts into former agricultural lands, particularly around Columbine Valley and Columbine Hills.
