Nayuka River and Telukhti Creek wind through a complex system of marshes and smaller water bodies in this mid-century survey of the Alaska interior. The landscape is dominated by low-lying wetlands and scattered lakes, including Klymunget Lake and Besziwit Lake, which define the drainage patterns of the region. To the northeast, the terrain begins to rise toward the Takha Khdona Hills.
