North Franklin Mountain and the jagged peaks of the Franklin Mountains dominate the western half of this 1955 survey, which was updated with purple 1967 revisions to show the expanding footprint of northern El Paso. The landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the steep elevations of Anthonys Nose and Fusselman Canyon to the alluvial plains of the Fort Bliss Military Reservation.
