Wind Ridge P. O. Jacktown and Harveys P. O. Graysville serve as primary hubs in this early twentieth-century study of the borderlands between Washington and Greene counties. The landscape is defined by an incredibly dense network of narrow valleys and ridges, where life centered around post offices and local landmarks like Hunters Cave and Netty Hill. Movement followed the winding paths of the South Fork Tenmile Creek and Wheeling Creek, with small settlements such as Ryerson Station, Nineveh, and Bristoria scattered along the drainages.
