The coastal marshlands of Camden County and Glynn County meet at the Little Satilla River, where the landscape is defined by a intricate network of winding creeks and tidal islands. Along the river's northern banks, Hogans Island and Colonels Island stand among the salt marshes, while the residential pockets of Hickory Bluff and Dover Bluff provide access to the river's deep-water bends. Inland, the heavy timber and wetlands of Hardee Swamp dominate the western terrain near Hazzards Neck.
