1997 Map of Goose Creek

About this map

Hadselville and its surrounding watercourses define this Central Valley landscape at the intersection of Sacramento, San Joaquin, and Amador counties. The terrain is characterized by a complex network of seasonal and perennial streams, including the prominent Dry Creek, Goose Creek, and Coyote Creek. Evidence of industrial environmental impact is visible through extensive Dredge Tailings scattered near the northwestern corner, a legacy of regional mining operations. The central portion of the map is dominated by the Arroyo Seco landform, which creates a distinct topographical contrast to the more level areas near Clay East Road and Borden Road. This 1997 photoinspection records a sparsely populated region where rural infrastructure like a Water Tank and isolated Loch Lane stand as primary markers of human presence amidst the rolling drainage basins of Browns Creek and Murphy Creek.
