About this map

The Electron Flume defines much of the industrial and hydrological character of this mountainous Pierce County landscape, snaking along the contours above the Puyallup River. This sophisticated water-diversion system, established to power early 20th-century industry, remains a prominent landmark alongside the river's winding path. To the south, the Mowich River and Rushingwater Creek converge near the foot of high ground known as The Divide, marking the drainage patterns that have shaped this timber and utility corridor for over a century.
