USGS Topo · Published 1985

About this map

Webb Oil and Gas Field and the Cleveland and Gas Field dominate the uplands of Dewey County, where the petroleum industry shaped the landscape alongside traditional cattle ranching. The terrain is deeply incised by drainages such as Teepee Creek, Bull Creek, and Burnt Creek, all of which eventually feed into the broad channel of the Canadian River that cuts across the southern edge of the survey.
