Glenn-Colusa Canal cuts across the northeastern corner of this Colusa County landscape, representing the critical water infrastructure that transformed the Sacramento Valley. The map captures a transitional zone where the flat agricultural plains of the valley floor meet the rising western foothills marked by Walters. These uplands are dissected by numerous drainages, including Spring Valley Creek, Cortina Creek, and the curiously named Whisky Creek. The network of roads, such as Cortina Vineyard Road and Beauchamp Road, reveals the rural settlement pattern of the mid-20th century, supported by dozens of Windmills scattered across the valley floor to tap into groundwater. Recreational and industrial development is also present, seen in the Arbuckle Golf Club and a Gravel Pit near the northern boundary.
