2024 Map of Mount Moosilauke

About this map

Mt Moosilauke and the high ridges of the White Mountain National Forest dominate this 2024 landscape in Grafton County. The terrain is defined by extreme elevation changes, from the depths of Jobildunk Ravine to the prominent heights of Mt Waternomee, Mt Jim, and South Peak. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail traverses the eastern ridgelines, crossing near Kinsman Notch and the Lost River Gorge area. Human settlement remains sparse, concentrated at the small crossroads of Wildwood and Boutin Corner along Lost River Rd and Easton Valley Rd. Water moves rapidly through this mountain environment via the Wild-Ammonoosuc River and the headwaters of the Baker River. A network of established paths like the Beaver Brook Trl and Tunnel Brook Trl provide the primary access to the backcountry, including the high-altitude Gordon Pond and Mud Pond.
