About this map

The Wenaha River and the Grande Ronde River anchor this remote landscape in the northeastern corner of Oregon. This territory is defined by the steep relief of Patterson Ridge and Rattlesnake Ridge, where numerous seasonal and perennial water sources like Patterson Spring and Mosier Spring supported historical backcountry activity. Much of the area is preserved within the Wenaha-Tucannon Wilderness and the Umatilla National Forest, protecting the intricate network of canyons and drainage systems.
